I build bridges between missions, systems and people.
My background spans astrophysics, lunar exploration, Earth observation, aviation research, AI research, space systems engineering, flight and ground systems, systems integration, cybersecurity, mission operations and technical program leadership.
Across that work, I have learned that the highest leverage problems often live at the interfaces: between technical disciplines, between organizations and between what a team intends to do and what the system actually enables. I am especially effective at working across domains, breaking down silos and bringing diverse stakeholders together around a shared objective.
My aerospace experience includes NASA astrophysics work connected to the Roman Space Telescope and James Webb Space Telescope, lunar exploration missions and concepts, Earth observation missions and data systems, aviation research and artificial intelligence (AI) research applied to aerospace challenges. Graduate work in space systems engineering further broadened that foundation through mission formulation, architecture, spacecraft subsystems, mission assurance, ground systems and operations across lunar, planetary and heliophysics applications.
Earlier in my career, I worked as an educator, designing and teaching STEM lessons for youth and tutoring college students in mathematics. That foundation still shapes how I communicate today. I enjoy breaking complex ideas into clear, practical concepts that students, engineers, leaders and multidisciplinary teams can understand and use.
That combination of systems thinking, integration, teaching and team leadership is where I tend to do my best work.


Before space, there was teaching and service.
AmeriCorps, classroom teaching, STEM lessons for youth, college math tutoring, mentoring and community projects built an early foundation around education, communication and making complex ideas useful to people.
Learning to make complex organizations move.
IT programs, project management, education technology and large scale implementation work developed my instincts for execution, stakeholders and organizational change.
From data to aerospace systems.
Earth science data systems, remote sensing, artificial intelligence research and aviation systems research expanded the technical foundation across Earth, air and space applications.

Work supporting NASA astrophysics missions, lunar exploration, flight and ground software, mission operations and systems integration brings the technical, programmatic and human pieces together.
Turning experience into ideas others can use.
Speaking, mentoring, professional society leadership and years of designing leadership development and team effectiveness sessions for engineers and technical professionals at NASA extend that experience beyond one mission or one organization. I am often at my best when the work requires translating complexity, connecting domains and getting many different people moving in the same direction.
